so...fyi...I
am not a sponsor nor affiliate nor associate nor representative of any sort of
seaworld et al...just a fan...keep renewing my membership every year..and
regularly visit the park...convenient since I am in southern Cal..., so I
wanted to post some of my memories here...
unfortunately I don't have my older pics which
included "back in the day" when the trainers were still allowed to
ride shamu...those were the "good ol' days" but the shamu show is
still a great show....and even further back I am just old enough to remember
the "marineland" days back up north in palos verdes (near los
angeles)...which came before seaworld...old-timers still reminisce about those
days around PV
... and the "killer whales" (orcas) seem to me to be the best animal representative of God...and His Awesome power...and yet how gentle & caring they can be, as our God is with us most of the time..: it also reminds me of the book "Moby Dick" ...also about whales..and some of the spiritual symbolism in that classic book as well.. (yes, I read the whole thing !)
